Chelsea Shaw

About Chelsea

Chelsea Shaw brings a lifetime of elite gymnastics experience, collegiate coaching success, and a deep understanding of what it takes to develop athletes at the highest levels of the sport.

As a Level 10 gymnast who trained at the Elite level, Chelsea had the opportunity to train internationally in China under Chinese National Champion Ming Ming Yang. Her accomplishments as an athlete earned her highly recruited Division I status, ultimately competing collegiately at the University of Oregon.

During her collegiate career, Chelsea became a 2-Time All-American, won National Championships in 2011 and 2012, and earned 12 individual championship titles.

Chelsea quickly transitioned into collegiate coaching, where she was appointed Head Coach at Gannon University and led the program to multiple National Championships.

She later returned to the University of Oregon, becoming the youngest-ever appointed Division I Head Coach at the university. Under her leadership, the program achieved national prominence, holding the #1 and #2 ranked programs in the country.

In 2017, Chelsea was honored as the NCATA Coach of the Year, recognizing her leadership and success at the highest level of collegiate acrobatics & tumbling.

Throughout her collegiate coaching career, Chelsea also served as an expert recruiter for college gymnastics, helping athletes navigate the recruiting process and understand what it takes to compete at the collegiate level.

Today, Chelsea brings that same elite-level experience, passion, and commitment to athlete development to The Club Athletics, with a mission to help gymnasts build not only exceptional gymnastics skills, but also the confidence, discipline, strength, and character to succeed both inside and outside the gym.

Courtney Starks

About Courtney

Courtney Starks brings 32 years of experience building thriving gymnastics programs and creating meaningful connections with thousands of families.

Throughout her career in Southern California, Courtney served as a Recreation Director and Preschool Director at both Gymnastics Unlimited in Valencia and Cal Elite Kids in Santa Clarita, where she played a key role in growing their recreational programs to serve thousands of children and families.

Known throughout her community for her energy, positivity, and genuine love for children, Courtney became a trusted name in gymnastics. Families sought her out specifically because they wanted their children coached by Courtney, a testament to the relationships she built with athletes and parents throughout the years.

Courtney has coached athletes across virtually every level of recreational gymnastics, as well as pre-team and competitive team programs. Her experience includes coaching tumbling, preschool gymnastics, recreational gymnastics, and competitive athletes of varying ages and abilities.

While Courtney has a passion for gymnastics at every level, her true specialty—and the part of coaching she loves most—is preschool gymnastics. She believes the earliest years of a child’s gymnastics experience are about so much more than learning skills. They are an opportunity to build confidence, coordination, independence, body awareness, and a lifelong love of movement.

At The Club Athletics, Courtney is passionate about creating a preschool and recreational program where children feel welcomed, successful, and excited to come back each week.

Her goal is simple: help every child fall in love with gymnastics while giving every family an experience they are proud to be part of.

Selena Harris-Miranda

About Selena

Selena Harris-Miranda brings an extraordinary résumé as an elite gymnast and NCAA champion to The Club Athletics.

A Las Vegas native, Selena began gymnastics at the age of six and developed into one of the most accomplished Level 10 gymnasts in the country. Competing for Gymcats, she became an 8-time Level 10 National Champion, winning national titles in the all-around, vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. She also captured 11 Region 1 titles and 19 Nevada state championships.

Selena’s success at the club level earned her a place among the nation’s top elite junior gymnasts. She competed at the 2017 and 2018 U.S. Championships, placing 7th on vault and 10th in the all-around at the 2018 U.S. Championships. In 2022, she won the Nastia Liukin Cup uneven bars title and finished fourth in the all-around. She entered college as the No. 1-ranked recruit in the nation for the 2022 class, according to College Gym News.

Selena began her NCAA career at UCLA, where she immediately established herself as one of the country’s premier collegiate gymnasts. She was named 2023 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and College Gym News Freshman of the Year, followed by 2024 Pac-12 Gymnast of the Year. In 2024, she won the Pac-12 all-around, vault and uneven bars championships, recorded a career-high 39.900 all-around, and earned multiple All-America honors.

Following UCLA, Selena transferred to the University of Florida, where she continued competing at the highest level of NCAA gymnastics. She became a 2025 SEC vault champion, a 2026 SEC uneven bars champion, and the 2026 WCGA Region 5 Gymnast of the Year. During her collegiate career, she earned 25 All-American honors, including 10 NCAA All-America honors, and recorded perfect 10.0s across multiple events.

In 2026, Selena helped Florida earn an NCAA team bronze medal, adding another national-level accomplishment to an already remarkable career. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2026 with a degree in Education Sciences, with the goal of using her experience as an elite athlete to help develop the next generation of gymnasts.

Now at The Club Athletics, Selena brings firsthand experience from virtually every level of the sport—from Level 10 competition and elite gymnastics to competing under the brightest lights in NCAA gymnastics.

Her goal is to help athletes develop not only exceptional gymnastics, but also the confidence, consistency, discipline and competitive mindset required to reach their highest potential.
